New T-shirts from Stussy x Commonwealth. This is some historical shit right here. In 1968 Tommie Smith and John Carlos were awarded medals at the Summer Olympics. The two American athletes received their medals shoeless, but wearing black socks, to represent black poverty. They went up and saluted the crowd with a black power salute with their heads down while the American anthem was being played. This was to show humility to the African American struggle in the United States. The front shows the Summer Olympic picture and the back reads "In this great future...You cant forget your past. Get this shirt and make a statement. It's available at the Commonwealth store.
