Mishka delivers a Obama shirt just in time for the Inauguaration of the first black U.S. president

January 20th is an important day because it marks a pretty epic change in the course of American politics. Not to get all politically-heavy with you guys, but “change” is a comin’. This very change - which is rolling in waves - has affected us here at Mishka too. To the point where we’ve succumbed to peer pressure and finally caved into the Obama train. But being the jaded, peanut gallery we are, regardless of change, politics is politics. A famous presidential candidate once said “You can put lipstick on a pig, but its still a pig.”

So to celebrate this monumental/business-as-usual day, Mishka has decided to release an Obama tee in the only way it makes sense to us – Bootleg Black Bart style. Taka Hayashi x Vans Vault 2009 Spring/Summer Sneakers

Taka Hayashi teams up wih Van's vault to deliver some new kicks for the 09. These are some of my favorite for the new year. The brown high tops are my favorite. The inspiration for these rare kicks are Native American and military surplus themes and materials. What do you guys think about these? These will be dropping in the summer.

Hella Tight “Rednecks” Snap-back Cap

Bay Area based brand Hella Tight put a twist on the Washington Redskins logo for their new hat. The hat features a redneck graphic on the front and the Redneck tag on the back. This is very creative and deserves a thumbs up. This cap is only limited to 100 pieces, so check for these at Hella Tight

Nike SB Dunk High Green Denim

These dunks are fire and are slated for release in 2009. They feature green denim in the heel area, gum soles and red suede in the toe box. More information should be made available about these kicks in the future.

Patta x Asics Gel Lytespeed Pack | Elms, Delta, Parra

A couple of years ago Amsterdam based store Patta put Asics back onto the sneaker map with their collaboration. Today we present you their upcoming collaboration project with Asics and three of the most respected artists in this culture - Eric Elms, Delta and Parra.

They worked on the Gel Lytespeed with Asics in three colorways on the exterior. The influence and work of the respective artists only becomes apparent when looking at the interior of the sneakers. The Delta sneaker comes in black, the Elms sneaker in purple and the Parra sneaker in red.

These are some of the best dunks, I have seen in a minute. These are woven and feature the Zoom Air technology. The shoes' colors are stone gray suede featuring the gray woven pattern. Very nice watch made by Australian designer Marc Newson. This is a very different design that what we are used to seeing and i am impressed.
